Antje Tillmann, a tax consultant, has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2002. From 2002 to 2005, she was a member of the Budget Committee. Since 2005, she has been a member of the Finance Committee and was Deputy Chair of the Committee from 2011 to 2013. During this time, she was her parliamentary group’s rapporteur for the debt brake (Schuldenbremse). In the Federalism Commission II, she was the chairperson of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group. Since 2014, she has been the financial policy spokesperson of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the Bundestag.
